Our traditional 2023 Chili Cookoff was once again a huge success. We had 12 pots of chili ranging from standard hamburg and bean chili to venison to white chicken to vegetarian. The hotness ranged from mild to the high end of medium. We didn’t have any super-hot this year, much to everyone’s relief.
First place winner was Jackie H. with a mild chili. Second place went to Ann C. with a little spicier recipe and third went to Ken Barch, also with a spicier recipe.
It’s amazing that you can have 12 different pots of chili with 12 different flavor profiles. No two were the same but all were delicious.
In addition to the pots of chili, we had delicious sides and desserts so good, many wanted to have a dessert contest.
Congrats to the winners! The chili cookoff is a popular yearly event. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year.
